Two movies about boys being in love with their fellow boys are available for streaming on VMX Plus.
In ‘Pwede G,
Pwede B,’ a notorious heartbreaker goes through a magical—and hilariously
awkward—sexual awakening after a night out with his best friend. Directed by
Ivan Andrew Payawal, it stars Gio
Gahol, Julian Roxas, Elora EspaƱo, and Claudia Enriquez.
Presented by VMX and The IdeaFirst Company, this comedy-drama centers around Basil (Gahol), an attractive man who has a penchant for breaking ladies’ hearts as soon as the relationship turns serious.
His carefree life is turned upside down after an unforgettable night with his best friend, Theo (Roxas). What starts as a typical evening of booze and reckless behavior turns into something bizarre that leaves Basil questioning his identity.
When Basil wakes up from that night, he realizes he
just had a drunken sex with Theo— who is straight and about to marry his
long-term girlfriend Cindy (Enriquez). Shaken and confused, Basil tries to
return to his usual ways, flirting and hooking up with women. But something
strange starts happening: every time he tries to sleep with a woman, a man
magically appears, intent on hooking up with him instead.
Is this a payback from the countless women he’s hurt?
Or is the universe nudging him to face the truth about his sexuality and
feelings for Theo?
Follow Basil and his chaotic journey of love and
self-discovery, in a story that reminds us that life doesn’t need to follow
strict rules— sometimes, things are just ‘Pwede G, Pwede B.’
Premiering on October 30 is another Ivan Payawal film,
“Bigayan”, an edgy drama starring
Mike Liwag and Jesse Guinto as gay couple Kent and Harvey.
For seven years, Harvey and Kent have been in an open
relationship. They met through an orgy, and though they have fallen in love and
have shown commitment to each other, they don’t stop each other from being with
other men.
But all of a sudden, Harvey’s feelings have changed. He now wants them to be in a monogamous relationship. Kent is taken aback by this, and what’s more alarming is that Harvey wants them to build a family. Harvey comes from a big family where he’s been showered with so much love, being the youngest. Meanwhile, Kent grew up in a broken family. He hates cheaters, but he is also not fan of a monogamous relationship.
There is no doubt that Kent loves Harvey, but this is
too much to take for him. Is this going to be the end of their relationship? If
Kent can’t give his all, is Harvey willing to compromise? Or is it strictly all
or nothing?
