Lovi Poe renews contract with SCD

Lovi Poe is true global citizen as she frequently flies from one country to another and back again for work, her married life with Monty Blencowe and leisure. Still, the Philippines is "always home" where she enjoys spending time with people who've known her the longest and speaking in the vernacular all the time simply because "ang sarap kaya (doing so)!"

She said so at a mediacon tendered May 21 at Seda Vertis North in Quezon City where she renewed ties with SCD as celebrity endorser. The actress is not only about women empowerment but has always been "pro Pinoy," hence her pride in promoting the local brand wherever she is in the world. 


Indeed, while she can buy even the most expensive imported products, Lovi uses SCD because they work for her and are affordable too. Her favorite SCD products are those from its sunscreen line, saying she wears them even indoors and that protecting her skin from harmful UV rays is her top beauty secret. The actress revealed that the company's Sakura Glow Beauty Bundle has also had many of her friends and family raving over its efficacy. The actress said she wishes she had discovered the eight-year-old company and its products earlier.:)

As beauty product endorser, Lovi stands out for being morena. In a country where many put a premium on fair skin, the actress revealed she never entertained the idea of using skin lightening products even when some people said early in her career that doing so would "boost" her chances of making it in show business. Well, years later marked by so much success, Lovi can only laugh at the advice; just glad that she stood her ground and firmly opted "to do me."

Asked for the things she looks for before endorsing product or service, Lovi gave unexpected answer: The actress finds out how the CEO treats her people and only when she's happy with what she learns that she tests the merchandise.

In that regard, how can SCD ( short for Skin Care Depot) CEO Gracee Angeles fall short? At a recent SCD event in Zambales celebrating the company's eight anniversary, Gracee went all out in making her "ka-dyosas" feel important, valued. It was a night to remember marked by good food, big raffle prizes, inspiring talk, topnotch entertainment and a promise of an even bigger SCD "as one family" in the years to come. She's that way "all the time," says her distributors who attended the mediacon, many of them enjoying the good life now thanks to SCD.

Gracee revealed that it takes her years working on formulation of her products before these see the light of day in the market. Being "vanidosa" herself, the CEO said she must be absolutely happy with the.product or it gets shelved. Seated beside Lovi, and looking as radiant as the actress, Gracee certainly walks the talk!

In the coming months, Lovi will be seen promoting SCD in giant billboards across the country. Special roadshows to be headlined by Lovi for SCD are also being planned.
