As the new year 2023 ushers in, a great and exciting online competition in the Philippines and all over the world is about to explode!
With a worldwide coverage, FlexTV App provides netizens around the globe a chance to “flex” their talent, creativity, personality, and content, and be the first-ever FlexTV Star. Candidates can push their social media star power by engaging their followers and viewers that give support in their campaign to be the grand winner. Candidates who receive the most number of “virtual gifts” will get ahead of the race and increase their chances of winning. The winner(s) shall be determined based on (1.) the garnered tokens reflected in the Contest Leader Board and (2.) scores presented by the Board of Judges based on the criteria for judging.
“Search for FlexTV Star” is OPEN to all content creators/ vloggers/ influencers/ live streamers -- regardless of sex, nationality, and place of residence. An aspiring candidate must meet the following minimum REQUIREMENTS: must have a FlexTV App account and conform with the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use of Flex TV App with at least 1,000 aggregated social media followers must be 18 years old and above during the Promo Period HOW TO JOIN: To join, participants must: 1. Download and install the FlexTV App, and register/log-on to FlexTV account using Gmail, Facebook, or Apple Account. 2. Meet the minimum contest requirements. 3. Register in the App to become an official candidate a. Add your photo in the Profile Section of Flex TV App (for you to be recognized when doing live, photos will appear in the live streaming section) b. Go to “Create Video” button of the App c. Upload short video (30-40 seconds only) from your phone d. Put title and description of the video e. Read the Terms and Condition and check the box f. Click Accept Button 4. Once accepted, you will become an official candidate of Flex TV Star 5. Start live streaming, enjoy the video co-hosting features and chat with the viewers 6. Campaign to get more virtual gifts and aspire to become the highest number of virtual gifts in the Contest Leader Board and become the first Flex TV Star. Registration is currently going on and the DEADLINE is on January 28, 2023 (11:59 PM) Participants must upload EIGHT ( 8 ) videos on the FlexTV App anytime during the Promo Period (January 19-28, 2023). GUIDELINES FOR THE LIVESTREAMS and VIDEOS: All livestreams/ videos must: contain the official hashtag #FLEXTVSTAR [name of participant] be at least 35-40 seconds only shall NOT contain any indecent, obscene or immoral materials Each participant shall ask his/ her followers to download the FlexTV App. During livestream video of the participants, the viewers or followers may show their appreciation to the Participant by giving virtual gifts. Virtual gifts can be purchased from the FlexTV App. Each separate virtual gift has a corresponding attached value of “FlexTV tokens” to be received by the participant. Real time scores are reflected in the Leader Board section, it determines the highest number of tokens among the participants. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Below is the procedure in determining the winners with corresponding dates: FIRST ROUND -- January 29, 2023 12:00 AM to February 5, 2023 11:59 PM Top 75 of the participants with the highest number of FlexTV tokens received will remain in the contest and move on to the second round. SECOND ROUND – February 6, 2023 12:00 AM to February 12, 2023 11:59 PM Top 50 of the participants with the highest number of FlexTV tokens received will remain in the contest and move on to the third round. THIRD ROUND -- February 13, 2023 12:00 AM to February 19, 2023 11:59 PM Top 25 of the participants with the highest number of FlexTV tokens received will remain in the contest and move on to the final round. FINAL ROUND -- February 20, 2023 12:00 AM to March 4, 2023 11:59 PM During the face-to-face Grand Finals to be held in a hotel, the Top 25 will compete and showcase their talents or skills, and a Board of Judges will determine the grand winner based on the following CRITERIA: Talent -- 20% Creativity -- 20% Personality -- 20% Content -- 20% Number of FlexTV tokens received -- 20% The Board of Judges shall be composed of five (5) members from the following sectors: Entertainment industry; Government Service; Academe; Arts and Culture; and Social Media. The contest will end and/or have a cut-off period on March 4, 2023 10:00 PM. The winners will be determined and validated based on: (1) FlexTV Leader Board, and (2) scores from the Board of Judges. On February 28, 2023, a PRE-FINALS NIGHT shall be held and livestreamed via the FlexTV App. Here, the Board of Judges shall evaluate the Top 25 remaining participants based on the set criteria. On March 4, 2023, the face-to-face FINALS NIGHT (in a hotel) shall be held and livestreamed via the FlexTV App. Here, the accounting firm shall tabulate the scores of the judges based on the criteria for judging, and declare the grand winner. PRIZES WITH SPECIFICATIONS: The grand winner of the “Search for FlexTV Star” contest will win PhP 500,000.00. The Top 1 in the Leader Board shall win a “special prize” in the amount of PhP 250,000.00 Tax (including 20% withholding tax for prizes exceeding PhP 10,000.00) shall be shouldered by the Winner. The cash prize is non-transferrable. Flex TV employees and its affiliates are disqualified to join. This contest has been approved and permitted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
