ADJENG JOINS MIND NATION AS THEIR FIRST MUSICIAN AMBASSADOR

Singer-songwriter ADJENG adds another title to her long list as she becomes the first musician ambassador for MindNation, a global mental health organization with presence in the Philippines, South Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Publicized just in time for Suicide Prevention Month this September, ADJENG will be working closely with the said mental health organization in events, and will actively post about mental health awareness in her social media platforms.

“My writing and my music are lifeblood to me.  But I have always prayed that my words and music and singing would have a deeper purpose, and by God's grace, He is opening more doors for this to be possible in different ways,” ADJENG says.  “If the songs happen to be fuel for inspiration, make people think and move and draw closer to God while enjoying the music, then I would have fulfilled my purpose.” This cements what she has always aspired to be - a musician on a mission.

The partnership sparked a couple of days after ADJENG released her third single of the year, entitled “Be Kind”, which talks about people “finding themselves dealing with a gray area”, and a reminder to not toy with other people’s emotions. She expresses her excitement to work with MindNation as this also resonates with her message of positivity that she carries in her music. With her ever-growing following, especially on social live streaming app KUMU, she plans to talk about how music and mental health are correlated, and how music can help people get through tough times. ADJENG is set to perform for MindNation’s #BeTheOne: A Suicide Prevention live stream happening this September 20 on MindNation’s Facebook page. As live music venues also open up for performances, ADJENG is also planning to perform a series of shows to showcase her music and her advocacies as a parent, musician, and a mental health ambassador.

Prior to doing activities as a full-fledged solo artist, ADJENG has been in the music industry for a while, performing for several bands, a solid competitor in songwriting competitions, and has written songs for artists like Jason Dy. ADJENG then decided to focus on her own brand of pop and R&B music this 2022 as she released her first two singles, “Rollercoaster” and “More Than A Little”- which were arranged, mixed and mastered by Juan Carlo Magsalin and Thyro Alfaro respectively. With her third single “Be Kind” now out on digital platforms, ADJENG sees no signs of slowing down as she plans to release another single in line with her advocacy with MindNation. Make sure to watch out for that on her social media accounts.

MindNation is now on iOS and Android- download the app now via App Store or Google Play. Visit MindNation on their official website, and follow their social media pages for updates and events with ADJENG.
