Those who know Angeline Quinto personally or follow her career will not recognize her at all in "Ang Happy Homes ni Diane Hilario" as she plays title character light years away from the bubbly singer that she is.
In an interview right before the advanced screening of the movie held at SM The Block, she admitted having mixed feelings of "excitement and pressure" in doing a serious role in somewhat dark setting.
"Nakilala ako ng tao bilang singer na may pagka-komedyante ang personality pero hindi ganun si Diane Hilario," said she to that effect.
"Happy Homes" is about regular folks living in a tenement suddenly shaken by a string of conspicuous deaths. Unfortunate and unrelated deaths continue, and they think a killer is living among them.

"Ang ganda ng pelikula, may kabuluhan," she enthused. "Actually, di naman namin inisip na aabot siya sa panahon ngayon na ganito ang nangyayari sa Pinas."
Some lines from her character in the movie goes:
"Hindi tayo papayag na abusuhin paulit ulit.
Pamilya ang ipinaglalaban natin. Seryosong usapan ito. Kailangan na natin ng BAGONG GAWI."
Angeline is grateful to have worked in the movie with such industry greats as comedy actress Eugene Domingo and director Marlon Rivera. She looks forward to working with them again.
"Next to singing ay napamahal na din sa akin ang acting," she said. "Kung walang mag-offer sa kin ng acting project ay gagawan ko na lang ng paraan, pag-iipunan."
Is there a real-life Diane Hilario, we asked.
"Malay natin bigla na lang siya magpakita," Angeline quipped.
"Ang Happy Homes ni Diane Hilario" also stars Paolo Contis, Luis Alandy, Richard Yap, among others. The movie is in theaters nationwide.
For Christmas, Angeline said that while she has gotten invitation to travel, she will opt to stay home and enjoy quiet, quality family time.
