Chair Lala Sotto administers oath to newly appointed MTRCB Board Members

THE Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), headed by Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto, warmly welcomed the appointment of Atty. Pedro Cesar Gabriel Atienza Solidum and Atty. Mynoa Refazo Sto. Domingo as new members of the Board.

The appointment papers were signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. on October 6, 2025 and released on Monday, October 13. Sotto administered Solidum and Sto. Domingo’s oath of office on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the MTRCB Nida Blanca Conference Room.

Both seasoned lawyers, Solidum and Sto. Domingo bring with them their wide experience and capabilities that will further strengthen the Board’s mission of promoting responsible viewing among Filipino families while ensuring viewer protection, particularly for Filipino children.

“We express our heartfelt gratitude to President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. for the appointments of Atty. Solidum and Atty. Sto. Domingo,” Sotto said.  “Their rich experiences will surely help uphold the Agency’s long-established thrust of promoting responsible viewing for the Filipino family and supporting the Philippine film and television industry.”

Sotto also extended her appreciation to outgoing Board Members Maria Marta Ines Dayrit and Zeny Mancilla for their unwavering dedication and service to the agency.

“We deeply appreciate BM Dayrit and BM Mancilla for their dedicated service and genuine commitment to the MTRCB. Their hard work, professionalism and passion have left a meaningful mark on the Agency and the people we serve,” said Sotto.
