Aljur Abrenica may have done a movie in the past about a wooden statue that turns human at night---but it's not the reason he got the offer and accepted endorsing Luxus Estetica Furniture.

At the contract signing and press conference for the ambassadorship, the "Machete" actor of long ago, who's now known currently for his character on TV series "Batang Quiapo," revealed that off cam, he is a homebody and family man.

This means Aljur loves spending time with loved ones at home in cozy ambience determined largely by perfect pick of furniture.

And one of his favorite Luxus Estetica Furniture pieces is dubbed the Royalty Chair, which lounges on at home, al fresco.

"I can sit on the Royalty Chair comfortably while drinking coffee, just chilling even for an entire hour," he said.

Asked what he thinks makes a perfect home, the actor said it should be a safe space where life is led in a way that's "right with Him."

"Dapat aligned with God...yung naaayon sa Kanya (ang pamumuhay)," was how the actor put it.

He averred though that nobody's perfect---"tao lang naman tayo"---but what's important is to learn from your mistakes and to try and always move forward.

On a less serious note, Aljur said sitting on the Royalty Chair makes him feel like a character in "The Godfather."

"It's just a fantasy," he said with a smile. "Gusto ko lang magnilay-nilay (sa mga bagay-bagay) habang nakaupo."

He is doubly excited with the endorsement now that he is renovating his music room. Aljur pointed out that wood, especially narra and resin, "maganda ang bounce back (ng boses)" in terms of acoustics.

Luxus Estetica Furniture is all about handcrafted luxury pieces crafted from top-quality, locally sourced woods. The brand emphasizes durability and timeless design, aiming to create furniture that lasts for many years.

The company aims to open some 25 warehouses and showrooms by 2026

Thea press conference also had the owners April Martin and Pauline Publico in the panel.
