While Vanderlei Zamora is bent on making the Philippines proud at the Mister Teenager Universe 2025 in Indonesia next year, he is conscious of growing personally from the experience.
"I am in it to win it but I would also like to enjoy the moment and discover more about myself through the experience," the 17-year-old looker told Rider PH in an exclusive interview.
Vanderlei is the nephew of celebrity brothers Lance and Rannie Raymundo. He particulatly looks up to the latter because they are both drummers and singers.
"And I am a model and into Mixed Martial Arts," he added.
Statuesque, articulate and armed with winsome smile and speaking voice, Vanderlei can surely woo the girl of his dreams---save that there's none for now.
"My focus is this," he said. "I am preparing myself mentally, working out more and developing my relationship with God so He could guide me."
Later, he wants to take up Theater Arts in college, and maybe even join a talent search on TV.
We asked Vanderlei if some of his male friends tease him for joining the pageant, it being his very first.
"No. Pageants are for all genders, it's unisex," he replied. "I joined because I love to challenge myself."
