Before the year ends, Revival King Jojo Mendrez is expected to have something in common with the likes of Jose Mari Chan, Gary Valenciano and Ariel Rivera.

At a recent press conference tendered for his contract signing as talent of Rams David's Artist Circle Talent Mamagement, multi-awarded record producer and songwriter Jonathan Manalo confirmed he is in the final stages of finishing a Christmas song for recording by Jojo.

While many Pinoy artists have released original Christmas songs in the pop genre, few have resonated fully with people as Gary's "Pasko Na, Sinta ko," Ariel's "Sana Ngayong Pasko" and, of course, Jose Mari's "Christmas In Our Hearts." Will Jojo join the ranks of these icons in thar regard?

What's sure is that the Revival King will continue to bring on nostalgia with his other upcoming singles. Among these are the Tina Paner-original "Tamis Ng Unang Halik," Dina Bonnevie's "Bakit Ba Ganyan," Junior's "Yakap," and Michael Pangilinan's "Pare Mahal Mo Raw Ako."

His current single, "Boy" first sung by Timmy Cruz, will have another version titled "Babe." Jojo explained that he and Rams agree that the new title (with approval from composer Mon del Rosario) is bound to appeal to a wider market.

Asked why he signed with Rams, Jojo said: "
Ramdam ko na mabuti siyang tao. Na magkakatulungan kami. Pangarap ko ito sa buhay. Life is short.”

In turning over a new leaf, so to speak, Jojo declared that his brand will be purely about positive things. Rams added that by doing so, people can focus on his ward's music and singing talent.

And philanthropy. Jojo revealed he will continue to go around the country to further his brand Super Jojo: Libre Ko Na To." The catchphrase captures his lifelong commitment to helping others without expecting anything in return.
