FlipMusic has ventured into managing their own artists beginning with five-member P-pop group VVINK (pronounced as wink).
Composed of Angelika (leader), Jean (main vocalist), Ayaka (main rapper), Odri (main dancer) and Mariel (all-around), they recently launched their debut single "Tulala" at Club Hype in Quezon City.
All products of singing contests through the years, from "The Voice Kids" to "Idol Philippines," each of the girls handpicked to join the group has had solo singles in "VVINK: The Pre-Debut Album."
FlipMusic production house is behind the hits "Tala" by Sarah Geronimo, "Pantropiko" by BINI and "Paligoy-ligoy" by Nadine Lustre, among others.
The two V's in VVINK stand for double victory, past and future. "Tulala" is about giddy first love but remaining in control of your feelings.
Like many P-pop groups, the girls have been living in the same house for two years now so it's easier to gather them for training, and for them to build strong bond
"Each of them was already skilled when we formed them so it was just a matter of honing what's already there," said FlipMusic CEO Jeli Mateo.
FlipMusic head producer Jumbo de Belen or Bojam is confident VVINK sound is ripe for the current OPM landscape.
At the launch, it was announced that the group has already recorded an entire album soon for release.
They also gave media a peek into their next single "Tatlong Hiling."
