Ahead of its Aug. 13 theatrical playdate, POP Moviehouse/Newsline Philippines has released photos and short video of the recording of the theme song of "Sa Likod Ng Tsapa."

Written by Editha Caduaya and sung by Jerry Angga, "Sa Likod Ng Tsapa" is folk-rock in the vein of the most popular works of such artists as Joey Ayala and Banyuhay ni Heber but arranged with a World Music epic feel, driven by ethnic-sounding percussion and flute.

In an interview with Editha, it was revealed that she and Jerry did several vocal lay-in of the song until they got the  emotional weight of the lyrics perfectly.

"Sa Likod Ng Tsapa" is a docu-drama based on the life of Police Colonel Hansel M. Marantan, a bemedalled Philippine National Police officer known for his service and sacrifices. He previously headed the PNP’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Metro Manila and now serves as Acting City Director of the Davao City Police Office.

The film brings to life his untold story of betrayal, injustice, and redemption, offering a raw look into the unseen battles and moral dilemmas faced by law enforcers behind the badge.

In dramatizing Col. Marantan’s journey, the movie also reflects broader themes in Philippine politics and the internal struggles within the police force, showcasing
the personal sacrifices of those who risk their lives in the line of duty.

'It's an embodiment of the policemen; the law enforcers ahead of me and about to be like me and ‘yung sa ngayon, kasi maraming stories na untold," Marantan said in the same interview.

Aside from being a musician, Jerry worked as Political Affairs Officer in Congress and as a Vernacular Media Service Coordinator for a community development program.
