Terrence Romeo scores endorsement deal with ABCVIP

Famed basketball player Terrence Romeo is now ambassador of online gaming company ABCVIP.

This was announced in an event held at Luxent Hotel on June 1.

"Ang main goal ko ay maka-inspire ng kabataan, makatulong," said he whose advocacy is boosting basketball in communities.

"I've already visited some of the areas where we accomplished our charitable work, and the ABCVIP and I plan to continue assisting communities, particularly young kids who love basketball. It’s really rewarding to know I'm able to encourage these kids, who may one day become star athletes," he said.

Asked for advice to the youth, Terence gave answer straight from the heart and culled from personal experience.

"Huwag makalimot mag-pray at laging maging focused kung gusto niyo maging basketball player," he said. "Importante ang disiplina---at ang tiwala sa sarili! Dapat ganun ang mindset."

Speaking of discipline, he reminded people into online gaming to always practice self-restraint.

"Kailangan may disiplina pag naglalaro, wag sobra," Terence said. "Make sure na hindi naapektuhan ang livelihood nila, ganun."

The cager recently went on social media hiatus from which he emerged with much learning.

"Kailangan mas magingat sa mga taong pinagkakatiwalaan mo," he said of his reflections. "Sa ngayon ay magfofocus ako sa career ko, sa sarili ko."

The contract with his current basketball team expires August after which he plans to start another chapter in his career.

"Hindi yung bayad ang tinitingnan ko sa pagpili ng team kundi kung saan ako pinaka pwede mag-fit."

After all, despite his fame and fortune, Terrence still believes---and practices---simple living.

"Basta masaya ka at walang inaagrabyado, ok yon," he said. "Kunsabagay ganun pa din ang life ko now at personality ko."
