Cinema and cross-cultural camaraderie come together as the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII), led by President Dr. Cecilio K. Pedro, hosted an exclusive media premiere of “Ne Zha 2”  recently at Fisher Mall’s VIP Premiere Theater.

Ranked as the "world’s #1 animated box-office hit" and the "5th highest-grossing film in cinematic history," "Ne Zha 2" ignites screens worldwide with its breathtaking animation, heart-pounding action, and universal themes of courage, family, and resilience.

Marking a highlight of FFCCCII’s 50th or Golden Anniversary celebrations of Philippines-China Diplomatic Relations this year on June 9, the event underscored the power of storytelling to unite nations.

Welcoming media guests at the screening were FFCCCII President Dr. Cecilio K. Pedro, VP Jeffrey Ng, VP Frank Co, Secretary General Dr. Fernando Gan, Board Member Wilson Lee Flores, Director Eddy Cobankiat, and Director Patrick Cua.

FFCCCII is the umbrella federation of 178 Filipino Chinese chambers of commerce nationwide from Aparri to Tawi Tawi, which espouses progressive economic advocacies and diverse socio-civic charities.

In his speech, Pedro hailed *“Ne Zha 2”* as a symbol of shared values and aspirations.

"As we mark 50 years of diplomatic ties, let Ne Zha’s journey remind us that unity and creativity can conquer any challenge. Just as this film has captivated the world, so too can our nations achieve greatness together."

He also unveiled FFCCCII’s upcoming cultural and economic initiatives to deepen Phil-China collaboration, urging media and communities to champion stories that bridge culture.

"The event underscores FFCCCII’s legacy of fostering philanthropy, economic growth, and people-to-people exchanges. With more projects slated for the Golden Anniversary, the Federation reaffirms its role as a catalyst for unity and progress.

"For half a century, our two nations have fostered friendship, cultural exchange, and mutual growth. This milestone reminds us that collaboration is the cornerstone of progress. "

He pointed out that "Ne Zha 2" is a triumph not just for China, but for all of Asia.

"The success of this film should inspire us in the Philippines and across our region to embrace our own stories, amplify our creativity, and prove that Asian narratives can captivate the world.

"As we enjoy this cinematic masterpiece, let us reflect on how Ne Zha’s journey mirrors our own aspirations. Just as he rose above challenges through unity and resilience, so too can our nations achieve greatness by working together."
