Solid friendship kept MaKi from taking the romantic route

Love team partners Mary Jay Apostol and Akihiro Blanco may look good together but both think leveling up their current relationship might ruin that.

"Dyowa material si Mary Joy pero baka kasi pag niligawan ko siya, masira pa iyong friendship namin," said Aki at the special screening of their latest movie "The Last 12 Days."

She agrees with him, calling Aki a "close friend."

"At iyon ang factor na nakatulong para magawa namin smoothly yung movie," Mary Joy said. "Kumbaga, walang ilangan."

Instead of shipping them together down the romantic route, they enjoin their fans to enjoy the onscreen chemistry their friendship allows. This is seen yet again in  "The Last 12 Days," which happens to be the last installment in a trilogy where Aki plays Daniel to Mary Joy's Camille.

"Mas kumportable na kami sa isa't isa kumpara noong ginawa namin yung first installment'" said Mary Joy.

"The Last 12 Stories" is a BladeStories special on Viva One. The screening held recently at Ayala Malls by the Bay that we attended was part of the celebration of Blade Auto Center's 20th anniversary.

"This is not only a treat to MaKi fans but also a treat to all our loyal customers who believe in our brand, without whom we could not reach this monumental milestone," said Robert Tan, the company CEO.

Blade Auto Center is the biggest car accessories chain in the Philippines with at least 50 branches nationwide.

The 12 Days saga the company has produced as part of its non-traditional marketing campaign has had more than 25 million views so far.
