Mark Bautista celebrates milestone year in show business with concert at Solaire

Romantic pop balladeer Mark Bautista behind the hits "I Need You," "Baliw" and "You Win The Game," as well as playing the lead role in "Here Lies Love" in London no less, gears up for solo concert "Mark My Dreams" on Aug. 31 at The Theatre in Solaire.

The upcoming musical event celebrates his 20-year journey as singing star starting from his breakthrough as one of the winners of the "Star for a Night" singing competition in 2004.

There have been many successful concerts here and abroad like "The Champions Tour" and "The Sound of Love;" motion pictures like "Lastikman" and "Of All the Things;" television shows like "Dwarfina," "Party Pilipinas" and "All Out Sundays;" and the lead roles in stage musicals like "The Full Monty," "Noli Me Tangere," "Eto Na! Musikal na Apo" and aforementioned Seattle productions of the David Byrne musical "Here Lies Love." 

At a recent presscon held at Botejyu inside Estancia Commons, Mark revealed his concert will find him in new music territory as well as on a nostalgic trip. His special guest performers are the harana heartthrob Arthur Nery, the Suklay Diva Katrina Velarde, singer-composer Rob Deniel; and his favorite mentor and singing partner Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.  

"Mark My Dreams" director is GB Sampedro, who also helmed the singer's very first full-length concert years ago; with musical direction by Nico Rivero.
