The 40th Film Academy of the Philippines Luna Awards has released lists of nominees in different categories including for Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress.
For 2024, the Best Picture nominees are "In His Mother's Eyes," "Third World Romance," "When I Met You in Tokyo," "Gomburza" and "Rewind."
The nominees for Best Actor are Cedric Juan for "Gomburza," Roderick Paulate for "In His Mother's Eyes," Dingdong Dantes for "Rewind," Carlo Aquino for "Third World Romance" and Christopher de Leon for "When I Met You in Tokyo." On the other hand, Kathryn Bernardo ("A Very good girl"), Maricel Soriano ("In His Mother's Eyes"), Marian Rivera ("Rewind"), Charlie Dizon-Aquino ("Third World Romance") and Vilma Santos ("When I Met You in Tokyo") comprise the Best Actress list.

The official date and venue of the awarding ceremony this year are yet to be announced.
The Luna Awards are awards given annually by the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) to recognize the outstanding achievements of the Filipino film industry. It is said to be the Philippine counterpart of the Oscars.
