Aware that Filipino movies are not doing as well as before the pandemic in making the box-office sing, Senator Robin Padilla nevertheless appeals to Pinoy movie fans to give his next project "GRINGO: The Greg Honasan Story" a chance.
"Napakaganda ng proyektong ito---kung mabibigyan ng tamang exposure," he said at a press conference tendered by production outfit Borracho Films of Atty Ferdinand Topacio.
The actor-turned-public servant recalled first seeing Gringo at 13 years old.
No wonder that for the action star, the "GRINGO" movie is dream come true.
"GRINGO" is intended for submission to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival. Playing the younger Greg Honasan in the movie is Paolo Gumabao. There are also talks of getting Sharon Cuneta to play a key role in the film.
