WATCH: 1st BarDa movie 'That Kind Of Love' sees romance blossom in unexpected ways

Barbie Forteza and David Licauco known together as 'BarDa'

No matter how many times they are asked about the nature of their relationship---regardless how creatively the questions are phrased---Barbie Forteza and David Licauco are "just friends."

They had to say it several times at the grand media conference tendered for their movie "That Kind of Love." While each has a significant other in real life (Barbie with actor Jak Roberto, David with a non-showbiz girlfriend) the two are just so, er, "kilig"-able together on camera that people, including media, just can't help but ship and stan that "BarDa" love team.

Even their co-actors in the movie admitted to have found themselves googly-eyed watching Barbie and David at work, saying the chemistry is so palpable. Arlene Muhlach ended up flustered upon learning during the press conference that Barbie is taken while there she (Arlene) was "rooting" for a Barbie and David ever-after.

The love team reaches the next level in "That Kind Of Love," their first movie together. The journey of the characters they play reminds that sometimes, love finds us in the most unexpected ways; changing us to grow and evolve in ways we never imagined.

Barbie plays dating coach and psychologist named Milagros. She meets CEO Adam (played by David) by chance and the encounter sparks a series of events that challenge belief in his own perfection even as Mila confronts her own doubts about the complexities of romantic love. As the story unfolds, Mila and Adam stand testament to the transformative power of love and understanding.

"That Kind of Love" is a Spotlight Entry and Awardee at the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival in Japan. It is the sophomore outing of Pocket Media Productions, Inc., after the success of predecessor "Chances Are, You and I" starring Kelvin Miranda and Kira Balinger.

Directed by Catherine Camarillo, with screenplay by Ellis Catrina, "That Kind of Love" also has Al Tantay, Jet Gaitan, Addy Cotoco, Divine Aucinea, Ivan Carapiet and Kaila Estrada in the cast.

Opening in cinemas nationwide on July 10, "That Kind of Love" is produced by Pocket Media Productions, Inc. and Pocket Media Films, in cooperation with Happy Infinite Productions, Inc., released and distributed by Regal Entertainment.
