Filipino film "Pugon," released in 2021, is going to Cannes in May.

This was revealed by one of its stars, Jhassy Busran, at the birthday party of the movie's director, Gabby Ramos.

"I'm very humbled, thankful and happy that 'Pugon' has been included in the Cannes Film Festival, 2024," said the teen actress. "It has opened so many doors for me and it continues to do so."

In the past, "Pugon," and even Jhassy for her work in the movie, has competed and won awards in film festivals held in the US, Japan and India.

"Pugon" also stars Andrea del Rosario and Soliman Cruz.

Only five years since entering the movie industry, Jhassy has already won seven acting awards as Best Child Actress and Actress here and abroad.

Jhassy and Gabby have recently worked together anew in "Ang Huling Sayaw ni Erlinda."
