Exactly two decades after Sinosikat was formed, Kat Agarrado continues the band's legacy as their singer with the release of "Heart Calling."

The song reflects her current perspective in life .

"I was ready to retire, just ready to relax and focus on other aspects of my life at the height of the pandemic," she said. "But my heart was still calling like I still had something to do, something to give."

And as artist. "Heart Calling" showcases her vocal range and style like never before in that she croons, raps, belts.  

At a press conference, the singer divulged that she asked herself hard questions before this second coming. Does she still have a place in the music scene? What is her new direction? Who has she become as artist? 

Fortunately, enlightenment came.

"I was praying and asking for a sign," she admitted. "The heavens answered. Doors were opening and opportunities started coming in."

To young readers unfamiliar with Sinosikat and Kat, they released their eponymous debut album and "2nd Album" in 2007 and 2009, respectively.  The first album was critically acclaimed and it even won for Kat the Vocalist of the Year trophy at the NU Rock Awards.
