WATCH: All systems go for Ferdinand Topacio's Borracho Films in 2024

Emboldened by the success of the Metro Manila Film Festival and his movie "Mamasapano" hitting number one on Netflix both last December, lawyer-producer Ferdinand Topacio has announced big plans for Borracho Films in 2024.

As of this writing, Topacio is in the Czech Republic filming scenes for the romcom "Spring in Prague" starring Paolo Gumabao and Russian Elena Koslova, as well as Marco Gomez, Tori Topacio, Keannha Reyes and Essel Ponce.  They've already shot in Tagaytay and Puerto Galera.

"Spring in Prague” will be released locally in time for the 50th anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and the Czech Republic. The Santo Niño de Praga will also be highlighted in the film.

Late December, Topacio also did a scene-by-scene evaluation of  "One Dinner A Week," also under Borracho Films and to be directed by Easy Ferrer. The movie sees the return of Ritz Asul on the silver screen and she will be paired for the first time with Edu Manzano.

Topacio also bared two new scripts: Troy Espiritu’s political thriller “Pain,” and Eric Ramos’ romantic story “To the Moon.”
