Multi-millionaire Cristina Decena was slightly puzzled on the day of her meeting with YouTuber Cong TV.

"Ang schedule kasi namin ay 3:30 p.m. pero 5 p.m. na ng hapon ay wala pa din siya sa office," Cristina said in a recent interview. "Sabi ko, siya (Cong TV) naman ang nagrequest ng meeting dahil may gusto siyang bilhin na mga properties ko so bakit late..."

It turned out that Cong TV arrived on time. But so many people wanted to have his autograph and take selfies with him that hour and a half later, they were still at it at the lobby. 

"Nalaman-laman ko na kahit mga guards, admin sa mga katabing buildings, dinumog at ayaw siyang pakawalan!" Cristina said.

Obviously, Cristina was clueless how famous the YouTuber is who has at least 12 million subscribers on the platform. Besides, Cong TV is ever humble and unassuming that it's hard to tell his status just by looking at him.

These days, the two have become closer to each other as they negotiate reviving Cristina Decena's "Weddings Around The World" reality show.

Recall that it was supposed to feature Cristina with comedy actor Ariel Villasanta back in 2012. They had even shot in Hong Kong Japan, Macau and Thailand but never got to continue till the day the two split up.

Cristina said Cong TV reminds her of Ariel so she made the pitch.

"At mukha namang interesado sila ng partner niya so we'll see," she revealed.

If it pushes through, Cristina and Cong TV will co-produce the show and pool sponsors. 

Cristina shall give Ariel a heads up on the revival of the show since she credits him to have conceptualized it. "Weddings Around The World" will likely be shown both on TV and online.

Which countries do they have in mind?

"Lahat," she said.

Our talk about weddings is timely for two reasons.

First, Cristina has always been fascinated by the different wedding traditions and customs of each country around the world. 

"Gusto ko yung mga damit na sinusuot, yung mga nakaugaliang gawin na unique sa bawat bansa, yung paghahanda."

Also, her daughter, Captain Cristina May Decena, got wed to Dr. Christian Peralta (medical director of Belleza Aesthetics) in Tagaytay recently, on Nov 11, 2023.

Yes, that's 11/11---an auspicious date for Cristina May.

"Even before, I'd make it a point to make a wish whenever I'd chance upon the numbers 11-11," she told us in a separate interview. "It's believed to be an angel number; that when you see it, it means your angel is present."

There's a "funny" story about the wedding preparations: Cristina's gown was bought from Divisoria! Considering how rich their families are, that's almost outrageous, right? 

But the captain insisted on sticking to a budget. So, despite the fact that they have the top designers in the country at their disposal, the Divisoria wedding gown won in the end.

What's more amusing is that the mother only found out about it on the day of our interview!

The other show

Cristina is also thinking of reviving the travel show she hosted with beauty queen Venus Raj before the pandemic.

Now, if for some reason Venus can't get on board, Cristina is thinking of getting other beauty queens as Pia Wurtzbach and Michelle Dee.

But of course, Venus will always be her first choice.

'Napakabait na bata, mahusay, professional at may mabuting puso," Cristina lauded.

We suggested for Cristina to consider getting Cristina May as her co-host. After all, the latter is not only pretty but has the gift of gab.

That remains to be seen though as Cristina May and Christian would like to travel more before trying for a baby.

Well, don't they want to travel for free?

Cristina turned 61 this year but it's hard to believe just looking at her so fit, so glowing, and so full of energy.

"I exercise, eat right," she mused. "At hindi na ako workaholic. Natutunan ko na iwan ang trabaho sa office, hindi kagaya dati na kahit paguwi ko ay bitbit ko ang trabaho sa isip ko."

This lady said that whenever she would try to use her senior card, she would always get asked to present another ID just to make sure she really is 61!

"Nakakatawa," she said. "But my children would always insist na gamitin ko daw ang senior card dahil karapatan ko yon. Pero yun nga kasi ang nangyayari, haha!"

Asked to reveal her birthday wish, Cristina blurted she'd like to ride the MRT as she has never done so "ni hindi ko alam kung magkano pamasahe."

That's not bragging. Cristina just really wants to observe everyday people and life in general in real setting.

But, really, what's her birthday wish?

"Ang magpatuloy ang good health para makatulong pa sa ibang tao.

"Sa dami ng binigay sa akin ng Diyos---lahat na yata ng hiling ko ay binigay Niya at dinagdagan pa---ay alam kong kailangan kong i-share ang mga blessings..."

Do you know that Cristina sends all of her employees' children to school? That and so many more unannounced charity and philanthropy that no wonder Cristina is so---you said it---#BLESSED!
