Instead of getting nervous, Angelica Hart looked forward to doing sexy-drama 'Higop'---and here's why

How do actors doing intimate scenes make their leading lady feel comfortable during the shoot?

We asked Fabio Ide and Josef Elizalde of Vivamax Original Movie "Higop" and here's what they said.

"First time ko nakatrabaho si Angelica (Hart) so bago kami nagsimula, we were talking, telling jokes, just getting to know each other," Fabio said at a press conference held at Vivamax Cafe few days ago. "Angelica and I have the same personality type kaya we were able to ask each other questions (about our scenes). We told ourselves, 'Wag mahiya, trabaho lang ito, let's give it our best!'"

Josef revealed he and Angelica as well as the other cast members broke the ice as early as script reading so that by the time they hit the set, everyone was up for a smooth ride.

"And I'd always ask Angelica kung ano ang restrictions niya at limitations," he said. "After ng intimate scenes, I'd ask her kung ok lang ba or kung may nagawa ba ako na hindi niya nagustuhan..."

Despite how intense the intimate scenes are as seen on the trailer of the sexy-drama movie,  Angelica actually looked forward to doing "Higop" because...

"Hindi naman naka-focus sa intimate scenes ang movie kundi sa love story," she said. "Kaya nga nung script reading pa lang, feel na feel na namin yung mga roles namin. I felt excited doing the movie, not nervous."

Directed by Topel Lee, "Higop" is about a lady’s man who straightens up his act after he again crosses paths with his TOTGA (The one that got away) in a quaint milk tea store. But what surprises him more than their reunion is what she’s doing at a milk tea shop, and what goes on there after dark.

Josef plays Noah. Handsome, charming, and easygoing, he gets all the women he wants and does what he wants with them. He gives them pleasure, and they satisfy him in return. But despite the numerous women he’s been with, no one came close to being his serious girlfriend, and it’s all because of Ysa (played by Angelica), his ex, his TOTGA. No one could measure up to their relationship, and it seems like Noah has no intentions of replacing Ysa in his heart.

Noah’s longing and misery for his ex-lover changes when he chances upon her working at a milk tea store where she denies their past. But a motivated and determined Noah is not about to let the woman he loves slip away again, so he investigates, and what he finds out surprises him.

As it turns out, the milk tea store is just a façade of what it really becomes at night – a prostitution house, and the names of the women that customers will “order” are based on milk tea flavors. This underground business where Ysa/Okinawa works is owned by a foreigner named Mon (Fabio Ide), her live-in partner.

Noah intends to win Ysa’s heart back and free her. Will he succeed? Can Noah still change Ysa’s mind and give their love another try? Or is Ysa trapped by Mon?

Joining Josef, Angelica and Fabio are Van Allen Ong, Lester Llansang, Aila Cruz, Zsara Laxamana, Princess Zian, Jonica Lazo, Joanna David, and Chloe Mendoza.
