Will Jeri Violago play key role in shaping the sound of OPM future?

Jeri Violago

Almost only bands---if they are good---are allowed by a major label to have full control of their music, from writing to arranging songs that go into an album, since it's more convenient that way as they rehearse together regularly.

But solo artists with no proven track record? Almost never, especially if they also get to produce the songs since it usually takes years of experience to train the ears and get the job done well inside the studio.

So, imagine our surprise upon learning that in 2022, Jeri Violago signed separate contracts with Star Music in various capacities: as an artist, a composer, and record producer. Who's this guy to have merited the three-tiered trust?

Then we learned that his two songs took more than a year to make; seemingly indicating the perfection of and the meticulousness that went into the output.

Again, who's this guy? And will Jeri play key role in shaping the sound of OPM future given the vote of confidence he gets from Star Music no less?
