AMP STUDIOS & STAR MAGIC WORKSHOP HOLD SECOND HYBRID WORKSHOP IN TORONTO CANADA

Star Magic Artists Training and Workshop Head Direk Rahyan Carlos and his team conducted a hybrid face-to-face workshop in Toronto, Canada for the second time in partnership with Rechelle  Everden of AMP Studios Canada, the only official partner of ABS CBN’s Star Magic for Acting, Voice and Dance Workshops in Canada.

They had an intensive face-to-face workshop for the Introductory and Advanced Acting Classes last August 25 to 27, 2023. This is for their summer workshops that started online in July 2023 and culminated with an acting recital last  August  27, 2023. With participating students all over North America, the three days face-to-face workshop was an intensive training where they were joined by Filipina actress, model, and comediane, Ms. Carmi Martin.

Carmi Martin is a Filipina actress, Singer, influencer, and comedian. She has acted in many films, such as Dolphy’s Angels, Working Girls, Four Sisters and a wedding, Ten little mistresses, and many more. She won Best Supporting Actress for her Sitcom “Small Family“ She also had many hit TV shows like Chicks to Chicks, Tonight with DICK and and her present hit sitcom “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis". Carmi Martin also studied interior designing in the Philippine School of Interior Design and graduated Fine Arts at the PWU. Recently, Carmi Martin also became part of the Star Magic Workshops' Chubbuck Masterclass under the tutelage of Direk Rahyan Carlos.

Direk Rahyan is the only  certified Chubbuck Technique premier acting teacher in the Philippines. He trained some  of the most sought-after and award-winning actors of today such as Christian Bables,  Joshua Garcia, Jane De Leon, Coco Martin, Julia Barretto, Jake Cuenca, Liza Diño Seguerra, Anna Luna, EJ Falcon, Alora Sasam, Ynna Asistio, Roco Nacino, Sandino  Martin, Arjo Atayde, Paulo Avelino, Joshua Garcia, Janella Salvador, Charlie Dizon and of course Carmi Martin. Direk Rahyan was trained personally by the world renowned acting teacher  Ivana Chubbuck in Hollywood who trained award winning actors such as Halle Berry,  Charlize Theron, Beyonce Knowles, Ian Somelhalder, Brad Pitt, Jim Carrey, Jake  Gyllenhaal, Sylvestre Stallone, Jared Leto, Gal Gadot, Judith Light and many more.
