A Chilling New Murder Mystery Awaits in 20th Century Studios’ “A Haunting in Venice”, Now Showing in Cinemas

Experience a chilling murder mystery in “A Haunting in Venice,” 20th Century Studios’ newest supernatural thriller based on Agatha Christie’s “Hallowe’en Party. Enter the world of a world-famous detective Hercule Poirot as he tries to uncover a new case.  

To welcome 20th Century Studios’ “A Haunting in Venice” to Philippine cinemas, multiple screening events were held in Metro Manila and Cebu. Avid Agatha Christie and detective mystery fans experienced the film and enjoyed posing on the Venetian streets, and even got to experience the seance room as seen in the film.

 

Set in the picturesque city of Venice, Italy, detective Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) lives a quiet life away from the rest of the world after witnessing crime, death, and a war. As much as he does his best to avoid crimes and solve mysteries, crime will always come to him.

 

A visit from an old friend, mystery writer Ariadne Oliver (Tina Fey), changes everything. She invites Poirot to a nighttime seance of renowned mystic Joyce Reynolds (Michelle Yeoh)  to expose her spectacle as nothing but a farce. However, this seance turned into cold-blooded murder after a death during the ritual occurred. With a murder at hand and a culprit that’s seemingly from beyond the grave, it’s up to Poirot to solve another mystery before the night becomes worse.

 

20th Century Studios’ “A Haunting in Venice” is directed by Kenneth Branagh, who also stars in the film as its lead, and produced by Branagh, Judy Hofflund, Ridley Scott, and Simon Kinberg, with James Prichard, Louise Killin, and Mark Gordon serving as executive producers. The film features a cast that includes Kyle Allen, Kenneth Branagh, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, Riccardo Scamarcio, Michelle Yeoh.
