For Yukii Takahashi, it's personality over looks when it comes to men

From being online sensation commanding millions of followers to starring in multiple projects across different platforms, Yukii Takahashi has arrived in show business and she is here to stay.

In an interview held June 6 at The Cliff restobar, the Cornerstone Entertainment talent acknowledged that so much has happened since 2021 when she first danced her way into the hearts of TikTok followers, eventually paving the way for an appearance on TV show "Sunday Noontime Live!"

"Hindi po ako makapaniwala sa lahat ng nangyayari pero I'm thankful, very thankful," she told Rider PH Studios in an interview. "I will strive to do good at my craft para naman hindi masayang ang tiwala sa akin ng mga tao."

Her most notable acting project to date is ABS-CBN primetime series "FPJ's Batang Quiapo" on which she has been made a "regular" after getting good feedback from her initial guesting stint. She is also seen on the Puregold online series "Ang Lalaki Sa Likod Ng Profile;" and on NET25's "Anong Meron Kay Abok?"

Her movie "I Love Lizzy" had cinematic run early this year.

Do you know that despite being surrounded by handsome celebrities everyday, Yukii doesn't have a crush in showbiz?  Apparently, the 21-year-old beauty prioritized a man's personality over his looks, and she could fall in love with a not-so-good-looking guy as long as they "click."

"Hindi naman po sa 'Humanap Ka Ng Pangit' ang song ko kundi hindi talaga kasi ako nasisilaw sa itsura ng lalaki," she said, laughing.

Well, whoever captures her heart will be one lucky guy. Aside from the aforementioned projects, Yukii was previously involved in such shows as TV5's videoke game show "Sing Galing," Kumu's reality talent competition "Top Class: Rise to P-Pop Stardom," and NET25's "Tara Game, Agad-Agad!"

Some of her upcoming projects include "Call My Manager!" (an HBO limited series) and "Ang Pangarap Kong Oskars."

Asked if she feels there is a changing of guards happening in show business these days, in that established actors are giving way to fresh talents like herself, Yukii said there is room for everyone and as long as you have something good to offer, then you can shine like the best of them.
