'Divergence + Convergence'

The theme of Cinema Rehiyon 15 x Montanosa Film Festival is “Divergence + Convergence.” The partnership increased the number of movies that people were able to watch, as well as the array of activities they participated in. The convergence is aligned with the city government’s objective to establish an interwoven creative and tourism endeavor of Baguio as a Creative City.

Together with 20 Cordillera-themed entries from the 3rd Montañosa Film Festival (MFF), cinematic gems made the rounds at the Cinema Under the Stars, Sine MusiKain, Lakbay Sine, and Sine Icons viewing venues, as well as the Ili-likha Balanghay ni Iking and SM Cinema Baguio.

"Baguio is one of the country's two creative cities, with Cebu being the other one. Culture and the arts never die, despite the threat of global pandemic. This event may end Cinema Rehiyon 's 15th year, but this also begins the 2024 season," said NCCA Executive Director Oscar Casaysay.

Of course, no trip to Baguio would be complete without going to the public market where we bought (what else?) strawberries and even more strawberries!

Here are our interviews with Ferdie Balanag, Oscar Casaysay and Kidlat Tahimik:
