In line with NCAA Season 98’s theme ‘Achieve Greatness Every Day,’ and adding more color to the rivalry between Team Heroes and Team Saints is the presence of some of the country’s basketball icons playing alongside this season’s NCAA All-Stars.

Off to show their skills on court are Kapuso celebrities Pancho Magno, Kokoy de Santos, Migs Villasis, and Raheel Bhyria. Serving as Team Heroes muse is Sparkle artist Lianne Valentin.
Joining Team Heroes are Philippine basketball legends Jerry “Defense Minister” Codiñera and Allan “The Triggerman” Caidic.
Equally eager to showcase their basketball prowess are the players for Team Saints: Letran Knights' Fran Yu and Mark Sangalang; De La Salle-College of St. Benilde Blazers’ Will Gozum and JC Cullar; San Beda University Red Lions’ JB Bahio and James Kwekuteye; San Sebastian College-Recoletos Golden Stags Ichie Altamirano and Jessie Sumoda; University of Perpetual Help System ALTAs’ Jielo Razon and Kim Aurin.
Providing additional star power to the squad are Kapuso actors Jeric Gonzales, Prince Clemente, Kirst Viray, and Season 97 All-Star Game Celebrity MVP Jose Sarasola. Team Saints will be joined by their muse, Sparkle Artist Shaira Diaz.
Completing Team Saints are Philippine basketball icons Marlou “The Skyscraper” Aquino and former Letran Knight Willie “The Thriller” Miller.
“With NCAA Season 98’s theme, ‘Achieve Greatness Every Day,’ the GMA-NCAA All-Star Basketball Game will not only have our favorite Kapuso artists, but the NCAA student-athletes who are the future superstars of Philippine basketball playing side-by-side with legends like Jerry Codiñera, Allan Caidic, Willie Miller, and Marlou Aquino,” said GMA Regional TV and Synergy First Vice President and Head Oliver Victor Amoroso. “We hope the NCAA fans will enjoy this special treat we prepared for them,” he added.
“NCAA, the Philippines’ first collegiate athletic league, remains grateful for GMA Network's support. Aside from the ongoing Men’s Basketball games, we are excited to have another All-Star Game between our selected NCAA star players and GMA’s talented artists. We would like to invite everyone to catch it this Saturday, October 15,” said NCAA Season 98 Management Committee Chairman Estefanio Boquiron, Jr. of Emilio Aguinaldo College.
