Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez dust off Noynoy Aquino campaign song 'Hindi Ka Nag-iisa' for Leni Robredo's presidential bid

Singers Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez just uploaded a new music video for "Hindi Ka Nag-iisa" in support of Leni Robredo's campaign to win the presidency in May 2022.

The song was used previously as one of the campaign songs of former President Noynoy Aquino. It was part of his sister Kris Aquino's album "Blessings Of Love."

The new music video on Alcasid's YouTube channel shows clips taken during Robredo's campaign sorties and activities.

Robredo has been trending on various social media platforms, most recently because of the massive crowd she draws during her campaigns all over the country.

Several politicians have insinuated that the vice president's camp "paid" the attendees, particularly those in General Trias, Cavite.

Robredo's celebrity supporters, all of whom say they volunteer their time and efforts for the campaign sans pay, stood up for her.

"Bakit hirap ang iba na maniwala na sasadyain ng libu-libong tao ang rally para suportahan ang tapat, mahusay, masipag at makataong lider nang walang kapalit na pera?" said TV host Bianca Gonzales on Twitter. "Paninindigan at pag-asa ang tawag dun, at di kailangan ng bayad."

Actress Nikki Valdez said of the spirit of volunteerism that Robredo inspires: "Ganon kasi talaga kapag prinsipyo at puso ang puhunan..."

As for comedy actor and manager Ogie Diaz, who have been hosting Robredo's sorties for free, the accusations being hurled at Robredo's camp is a joke.

"Nakakatawa yung nambibintang ka ng red-tagging, hakot at bayaran, nakita mismo ng mga mata mo, dahil natrapik ka," he said, addressing one of Robredo's critics. "Eh, di dapat vinideo mo para (may) ebidensya ka..."
