Arjo Atayde celebrates International Women’s Month

ARJO Atayde, who is currently running for the position of Congressman of Quezon City’s First District, celebrated International Women’s Month at the open field of Amoranto Sports Complex with 25,000 women supporting and attending the event.

Under his leadership and initiative, Arjo’s Team Aksyon Agad celebrated the strength, beauty, courage, and resilience of every Filipino woman.

Arjo is championing the right of every woman in Quezon City’s First District to be empowered with the financial independence that will provide for her family and loved ones as well as freedom from violence and liberation from any form of discrimination that impedes every woman from achieving her potential.

Team Akyson Agad also partnered with the global movement One Billion Rising that aims to advocate the human rights of woman around the world.

The event’s special guests include some of Arjo’s closest friends in the business which include Vina Morales, Bayani Agbayani, Enchong Dee, Retrospect, and Jed Madela who all gave amazing performances and veteran actress Nova Villa who gave a heartfelt testimony on her loving relationship with the internationally-acclaimed young actor whom she recently collaborated with in the filming of the upcoming thriller-drama Hey Joe.

Arjo’s family were also in attendance including his mother award-winning dramatic actress Sylvia Sanchez and sister Ria Atayde who is also one of the event’s hosts.

The political members of Team Aksyon Agad were also present in full force with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte at the helm.

“I grew up with strong and beautiful women – they raised me and helped in molding me to be the man that I am today,” says Arjo. “The right of women to have good and stable jobs as well as their right to be protected from violence are very close to my heart. I am very passionate about these causes and it is my hope and aspiration to partner with every woman in Quezon City’s First District in making sure that issues and any concern about them are acknowledged and addressed.”
