The original series marks the television comeback of well-loved and versatile actor Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr. as Major Gabriel Labrador. He is joined by the stellar roster of cast including Sanya Lopez as Maya Lagman, Elizabeth Oropesa as Nanay Berta, Roi Vinzon as Alejandro Dominguez, Benjie Paras as Sgt. Wesley Dimanahan, Allen Dizon as Capt. Gerry Flores, Michelle Dee as Serpenta, EA Guzman as Julian, Miggs Cuaderno as Bidoy, and Ian Ignacio as Malvar.

In the previous episode, Gabriel (Bong) receives a poisonous kiss from Serpenta (Michelle) after his battle with Maya (Sanya) who is then bewitched by the mystic powers of the Bakunawa's bertud.

Gabriel embarks on a journey to rescue Maya from her estranged father, Alejandro (Roi), and to finally put an end to his wicked ploys now that he is endowed with the venomous powers of the Bakunawa.

Will the bearer of the Agimat ng Agila triumph over the possessor of the Bakunawa's bertud?

With all the positive feedback and high ratings the show has been receiving, Bong conveys his utmost gratitude to the viewers and teases viewers for an exciting revelation, "Nakakataba ng puso na mahal pa rin tayo ng viewers, lalong-lalo na ng mga Kapuso. Sa init ng kanilang pagtanggap, para na rin tayong hindi nagpahinga sa paggawa ng mga palabas sa telebisyon. Kaya mas nakaka-inspire pagandahin ang Agimat ng Agila. Regalo namin ito sa kanila. Mas may malaki pa kaming regalo na nag-aabang sa ating viewers kaya tumutok lang po sila.”
