Asia's romantic balladeer, Christian Bautista was recently selected to be part of an international panel of judges for the spring season national voting round of Djooky Music Awards (DMA). Its co-founder head of the panel is Brian Malouf, a multi platinum record producer for well known artists like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Pearl Jam, Stevie Wonder. He was SVP of A&R for RCA Records in New York and later became VP and Head A&R at Walt Disney Records.
Another judge in the panel is two time winner and Grammy nominated songwriter producer, film scorer, Sacha Skarbeck. Best known for his composition, "You're Beautiful" for James Blunt, and " Wrecking Ball" for Myley Cyrus. Skarbeck has worked with artists such as Adelle, Jason Miraz, Tears For Fears Lana Del Rey and many more.
Now on it's second year, DMA aims to include more countries in south east asia including the Philippines to be part of this new music platform competition.
Contestants' may submit any song (previously released or new) applications must be submitted online by downloading their enties between March 1-May 16,2021 at djookyawards.com. There are three stages to the voting processes, the National Voting Round on May 23, The Continental Voting Round on May 26 and the Global Voting Round on May 29. The Judges score 50% while fans and online audiences get to vote for the other 50%. The grand winner of the DMA will have a chance to either fly to LA to record one song at Capitol Studios with American producer Brian Malouf or a $20,000 cash prize, second place.
