SUN Valley Crew (SVC) releases ‘This Time’

SUN Valley Crew (SVC) releases a brand new single titled “This Time” released under the collaboration of Warner Music Philippines and Music Colony Records.

SVC is a much-loved Hip-Hop group amongst Filipino fans. The group, whose original members consists of Ryan Armamento (Juss Rye), RJ Señeres (ILL-J), Ryan Ventura (Slimm), and Joseph Papa (Puff-a-J), changed the landscape of Hip-Hop music in the Philippines when they began blowing up charts in 1996 with their hit single Just Chillin (My Homies) from their self-titled debut album. The single was fresh and carries the g-funk era vibe that was so prominent during the late 90s while a fan-favorite anthemic tune.

By 1997, while remaining on top of international countdowns, SVC released their sophomore album titled Reality Check with much critical acclaim as they bagged Video Of The Year for their follow-up single Everythings Gonna Be Alright at the MTV Pilipinas Awards.  This solidified their praise and recognition amongst fans and the music industry alike as they were officially a household name.

After a nearly 7-year hiatus, ILL-J, Rye and Slimm decided it was time to come up with a 3rd album in 2004.  Its All Natural served as a passion project, with much of the tracks being produced by Rye and Slimm and performances being done dynamically with a live band.  They were the first local Hip-Hop act to perform live with soul and jazz elements.  Thus, they as pioneers were once more pioneering and the album was well-received by longtime fans that had yearned for a comeback.

With This Time,” SVC is revisiting their roots as they hope to bring everybody with them – back home to the music they all loved.

“This Times” is available in all major online music platforms.
