Nancy Dimaranan, who gained renown last year for helping people at the height of strict quarantines due to the pandemic, has declared herself a transgender woman.

She said so at a recent press conference, adding that her real name is Ronnie.

And while many people already know about it, there are still those who ask about her gender identity.

"I am proud to be transgender woman," she said. "I want the LGBT community to know that gender should not be a hindrance to fulfilling dreams and helping others."

Asked if she has political plans considering her popularity and having soft spot for the poor and the needy, Nancy nipped such speculations in the bud.

"None," said she whose foundation is about to be legitimized. "I can and will continue to help people even without a public post."

Still, some people see Nancy as worthy of public trust. One of them is so-called visionary Rudy Baldwin who happens to be a good of friend of Nancy.

In a separate interview with Rider PH Studios, the Pandemic Hero shared that Rudy has had a vision of Nany winning a government position.

However, Nancy is adamant she's not interested.

"It will only happen if God, Himself, paves the way for its realization."

Nancy said she is open to helping people even outside Laguna where she resides with her children. Nancy's husband is a lawyer based in Dubai.

"Everyone is welcome to come to me," she said. "If I can do it, then I will surely help."
