Singer and cosplayer Debbie Lopez admits that had JM de Guzman not officially declared his relationship with Donnalyn Bartolome, she would have probably allowed herself to get to know the actor better.
She said so in an exclusive interview at the launch of her song "Ang Higugmaon Ka" held at Mellow D in Quezon City. Debbie recalled that JM and Donnalyn's announcement about their romance happened just days after they started communicating.
Debbie is not insinuating that she and JM had a liking for each other; only that she thought it proper to keep her distance from him given that he is already taken.
"He was my showbiz crush---and he was willing to meet me," Debbie recalled to that effect in Filipino. "But that was it."
She revealed JM sending him a friendly text more recently when he got wind of her plans to enter show business.
"'Hoy, papasok ka pala ng show business'---yun lang naman ang ni-text niya..."
Does Donnalyn have Debbie's vote as JM's girlfriend? Completely!
"Fan din kasi ako ni Donnalyn," she said.
We asked Debbie that with JM already taken, who does she look forward to meet or maybe even work with in showbiz.
