WAGI app launch creates a stir

 Several popular influencers attended the launch of financial literacy app WAGI (acronym for Wealth Advice for Growth and Inclusion) held July 31 at Philippine Innovation Hub in Makati City.

They were Antonette Aquino, Bea Sacramento, Kenneth V, Putik Queen, Yesha Pega, Regina Aungon, Joprey Samonte, Kyosi_G and Vladia D.

Like the rest of the attendees, the online celebrities were astonished to hear about the engaging, gamified and rewards-driven, app-based financial literacy platform launched by FedCenter. WAGI is first-of-its-kind as it democratizes financial literacy and makes it fun, simple and rewarding. 

With JuanHand app is its partner, WAGI aims to provide basic to advanced financial concepts through interactive modules, videos, and bite-sized reels. it features relevant and practical financial content from Basic Budgeting to Stock Investing. There are even quick finance tips from successful personalities and celebrities. To boost adoption and usage, the app also incorporates tangible rewards to make learning exciting and motivating.

And get this: The test scores will be converted into reward points which can be used to claim prizes from various establishments such as leading fast food chains.

"This app will democratize financial literacy and it can significantly uplift the financial well being of Pinoys," said Marc Kristian Gulle, the CEO of FEdCenter.

The launch event also included distinguished speakers from the government such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, Credit Information Corporation, National Privacy Commision and National Development Company.
