WATCH: Dave Almarinez on edge PeekUp has over other ride-hailing apps

Entrepreneur and motivational leader Dave Almarinez wants to give people an "experience" when they use PeekUp, a new ride-hailing app backed by an all-Filipino company.

At a media conference held Tuesday at SM Megamall, the CEO said their number one priority is safety followed closely by hospitality; specifically Filipino hospitality known the world over.

"Kailangan sulit ‘yung bayad mo. Naisip pa nga namin na kung maari ay papayungan ng driver ang pasahero at ipagbukas ng pinto papasok at palabas ng sasakyan. We want to give passengers an experience," he said to that effect.

"Alam natin kung ano ang gusto ng mga Pilipino dahil all-Filipino company kami.”

More, Almarinez said their rides are more affordable because there's no added fee. Their app is more user-friendly meaning with less fuss but without sacrificing privacy and security. The vehicles used by drivers will also be relatively new so these are safe and reliable on the road to minimize the chance of passengers getting inconvenienced.

Another edge PeekUp has over the rest is that they take care of their drivers believing that by doing so, the drivers will also take care of the passengers since they (the drivers) are the face of PeekUp.

Asked if the entry of PeekUp would create more traffic congestions in the metro, he assured that studies actually show the opposite. For now, PeekUp is available in Metro Manila as well as in Laguna and Bulacan. Its campaign blurb is "We'll Get you There!"

Almarinez believes giving the public an alternative can only be a win-win situation for them since this would make all players strive to improve their services and offers.

Aside from Ara Mina, his wife, Almarinez revealed PeekUp has Paulo Avelino as celebrity endorser.
